Students from Yi Xuan Show Model School in China stopped by the Saipan Mayor’s Office last Thursday to meet Mayor David M. Apatang and further promote the flourishing student exchange program between Saipan and Chinese schools.

During the meeting, each student asked questions mainly on Saipan’s lifestyle characteristics, history, and economy.

Discover Saipan interpreter Monique Kramer has been organizing Chinese group visits the previous four years.

She said the intent is to highlight the Chinese traditional customs as well as to learn Saipan’s culture. By following this circumstance, she is always arranging summits for Chinese student batches.

In the group, sisters Grace and Aria Keilbach are experienced fashion models that are involved with the student exchange program.

Also in the group is Yi Xuan, a trainer of professional models in China Media University for almost 15 years.

After their questions, the group gave Apatang symbolic Chinese items, which the mayor gratefully accepted.

The models also performed in a fashion show last Thursday night at the Liberation Day grounds.
