Student entrepreneurs to bring products, services to market

Student entrepreneurs from Saipan high schools will convene at the Junior Achievement (JA) Company Program Trade Fair today, Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Garapan Street Market to showcase their products and/or services.

Captured, Whimsical Wonders, Knighteens, and Blue Marianas Produxtions—student companies from Kagman High School, Saipan Southern High School, Mount Carmel High School, and Marianas High School, respectively—will bring their products and/or services to market.

“Be sure to stop in between 6pm and 9pm to see our achievers in action. The trade fair is a key event for the JA Company Program as it provides an opportunity for our students to demonstrate and sharpen their sales and business skills. In just eight weeks, our young entrepreneurs have been able to develop their products and/or services,” said Commonwealth Development Authority Economic Development Analyst/JA Company Program coordinator Carline B. Sablan.

Sablan adds, “Captured will be showcasing its custom canvas framing service as well as original canvassed art. Whimsical Wonders will be featuring big bubbles called Bu-Bu-Bubbles. Blue Marianas Produxtions will be promoting its event-planning service and upcoming events, while Knighteens will be featuring its student-designed T-shirt called Knightee.”

The CNMI Junior Achievement Company Program is supported by the CDA, Saipan Chamber of Commerce, CNMI Public School System, Bank of Hawaii, IT&E, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters Inc., and Tan Holdings Corp.
