Bridge Capital, LLC closed out its campaign in the 2019 Atkins Kroll Marianas International Basketball League with a 101-88 victory over AK Toyota last Saturday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Bridge Capital completed the round-robin regular season with a 5-4 record for fifth place in the team standings, just missing the semifinals by a notch. Only the Top 4 teams after the elimination round will advance to the semis. AK Toyota is also out of the competition, as it wrapped up its season with a 2-7 mark.

Leroy Rangamar led Bridge Capital’s last hurrah after firing 42 points, while four of the only five players who showed up for the team’s final game scored in twin digits. Reynald Cabaltica added 27, while Eric Deleon Guerrero and Ernest Duenas chipped in 19 and 11, respectively. Vincent Teregeyo rounded up Bridge Capital’s depleted roster and logged 2 points.

Rangamar made all his points from the 3-point area, drilling six triples in the first quarter to hand Bridge Capital a 27-20 advantage. The lead ballooned to double figures in the second period, 51-36, as Rangamar knocked in four more shots beyond the arc and Cabaltica contributed 7 points.

Despite having only five players, Bridge Capital managed to keep its twin-digit lead in the second half with Rangamar still catching fire from the rainbow territory and drawing help from Deleon Guerrero, Duenas, and Cabaltica.

AK failed to keep up with Bridge Capital, as only Kelvin Fitial consistently hit baskets for the squad and when his teammates started to get their shooting touch, they were too late the hero.

Bridge Capital 101—Rangamar 42, Cabaltica 27, Deleon Guerrero 19, E. Duenas 11, Teregeyo 2.
AK Toyota 88—Fitial 28, Catalla 16, Francia 12, Guilas 13, Boswell 10, Sekool 3, Castillo 3, Managan 2.
Scoring by quarters: 27-20, 51-36, 78-63, 101-88
