The SPN 670 ruled the 671 Mobile Legends Mini Tournament held this month.

Captain Russel Cruz teamed up with Pearl Bermudes, Gelo Rabe, Aldrich Delos Santos, and Krystel and Erwin Encinares in dominating the Guam All-Stars in the finals, 3-1. The SPN 670 managed to take the championship despite coming from the loser’s bracket and losing its second game in the double-elimination tournament.

The eventual champion squad kicked off its bid in the eight-team tournament with a 2-0 victory over X4CE at the top half of the draw. Next up for the SPN 670 was GU and the latter handed the former its lone loss in the eight-team tournament after cruising to a 2-0 win.

GU earlier prevailed in its opening match against Vigilante Family, 2-0, and the back-to-back victories allowed the team to challenge the Guam All-Stars for the first finals berth. The Guam All-Stars, who topped 671 Covid, 2-0, and Milk Tea, 2-1, made it three in a row after sweeping GU, 2-0, to advance to the finals first.

Both SPN 670 and GU, on the other hand fell to the loser’s bracket and were put in a must-win situation to keep their finals bid alive. The SPN 670 responded with a 2-0 victory over Team Poker and followed it up with another 2-0 triumph over Vigilante Family to earn the right to face GU for the second and last finals ticket.

The SPN 670 went on to reach the championship round after eliminating GU, 2-0, and completed its uphill climb after beating the Guam All-Stars in the first three matches in the finals. The Guam All-Stars, having swept the preliminary matches, were given an automatic victory in the finals thus the 3-1 scores.
