Speak up against bullying
I am writing this letter to express my feelings and thoughts about bullying. It is very common in the CNMI for many reasons. At certain times, it gets to the point where the victims try to kill themselves because of what is happening to them. There are points in our lives that we get bullied because of what we are and who we are. We are all humans, we have feelings that some people just won’t understand, but just talk to someone who can listen to you and you can express your feelings to.
Bullying at schools makes it seem that schools aren’t the right place for people because they get hurt and it also makes it seem like they don’t feel welcome. We should always be considerate about people’s feelings because at points you might not even know that some stuff is happening in their household and you are just adding up to their pain.
Bullying does not only occur in the CNMI, but all around the world. Bullying can cause many things: depression, suicides, cutting, taking of pills, and many more.
If schools were really a bully free school zone, then there shouldn’t be any more suicides occurring. Hopefully it changes pretty soon, so there wouldn’t be any more lives gone and loved ones gone from families to soon.
If you are getting bullied, please SPEAK UP. Don’t let them bring you down so that they can get the satisfaction they want from what they are doing.
