SNILD passes 2 appropriation bills
The Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation has approved two appropriation bills to fund several projects and programs for the Third Senatorial District.
House Local Bill 21-1 allocates $195,468.50, while H.L.B. 21-19 sets aside $268,888—both totaling over $400,000.

The Commonwealth Development Authority has identified $195,468.50 available for appropriation with SNILD using the money to fund the light installations project along the pathway from the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort to the intersection of Lalanghita Rota and Pine Drive in Kagman, which are under Precinct 5.
The sum of $268,888 that’s ready for appropriation in H.L.B. 21-19 will be broken down to fund seven projects and programs
First on the list is the 2019 Liberation Day ($100,000), $30,000 for the Commonwealth Women’s Association, $33,000 for the Northern Marianas Athletics for the Oceania Athletics Championships in Townsville, Australia from June 24 to 28.
The 21st Oceania Customs Organization gets $15,000, $50,000 is reserved for the operations of the local delegation of the Third Senatorial District, $20,888 is designated to the Northern Islands Mayor’s Office, while $20,000 is for the 38th Flame Tree Arts Festival.
