Small craft advisory today

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, a small craft advisory in effect until 6pm today, Monday. Winds of 10 to 20 knots with frequent gusts to 25 knots will continue through today. These winds will, in turn, have caused seas to rise to between 7 to 9 feet, with additional increases to 10 feet possible by today.

A small craft advisory means that wind speeds or frequent gusts of 21 to 33 knots are expected to produce wave conditions.
The public and inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, are encouraged to avoid sailing in these conditions. (PR)
