The National Weather Service based in Tiyan, Guam reports that a small craft advisory is in effect and will be in effect until Thursday morning.

According to NWS, wind speeds up to 25 knots are expected to produce hazardous conditions for operating small crafts.

Due to the warning, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres is advising the general public, especially inexperienced mariners and those operating smaller vessels, to avoid sailing until Thursday.

East winds were reportedly at15 to 25 knot with frequent gusts to 30 knots. Seas were seen at 6 to 9 feet and could occasionally reach 10 feet.

Due to the wind and high seas, small crafts can be blown off course or capsized.
