A small craft advisory remains in effect until 6pm today, Friday.

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, east winds of 15 to 20 knots are expected with occasional gusts in excess of 25 knots.

Combined seas of 8 to 11 feet will subside to 7 to 10 feet overnight and should fall below 10 feet today. Highest seas will be east of the islands.

Marine conditions are hazardous for the operation of small craft. The EOC is advising the public and inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, to avoid sailing in these conditions. (Saipan Tribune)
