The CNMI Emergency Operations Center has cancelled a small craft advisory after buoys indicate combined seas have subsided and are only occasionally reaching slightly over 9 feet.

Regional observations and ascat analysis also indicate winds have also subsided and are now between 10 and 20 knots.

Based on the information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center, moderate to fresh trade winds will become gentle to moderate by Thursday. Combined seas of 7 to 9 feet will continue to slowly subside over the next few days and dropping to between 5 and 7 feet Thursday evening.

Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres, however, is advising the general public and inexperience mariners—especially those operating smaller vessels—to continue exercise caution as the sea and wind will remain just below hazardous level for a few days.
