SM Mart will be having its grand reopening at its new location at Springs Plaza, Middle Road in Chalan Laulau tomorrow. The new location provides a bigger shop with a lot more goods to choose from.

According to part-owner Marie Javier, they moved from their old place in San Jose because she wanted a bigger place for her customers.

“I really wanted a bigger place and for the customers to feel comfortable in their shopping. I also wanted to display our products better,” Javier said.

They held their soft opening during the first week of this month after closing down their old place last June 30.

Javier also has a new partner in the business in the person of Helen Al-Alou.

SM Mart is like a mini-department store where anything from clothes to accessories to home needs can be found.

“Anything that you cannot find anywhere on Saipan, we have that,” Javier said, adding that they cater especially to what Filipinos are used to having at home.

Some of the goods that they are proud to sell are a full line of infants and kids clothing as well as women’s clothes.

They also sell Bench products—a popular clothing line in the Philippines—as they are its sole authorized distributor here.

Javier also boasted of their good pieces of furniture like their beds, cabinets and tables, and chairs as well as other home essentials like curtains and pillows. They also have jars, plates, and other kitchen needs. Small appliances can also be found here.

“[SM Mart has] a full selection for your necessities,” Javier said.
