Stellar Marianas has six contestants ready for the 2015 Miss Marianas Pageant leading toward the crowning on May 14 to represent the CNMI.

In yesterday’s news briefing, five of the contestants were introduced to the local media.

The contestants include Jian Joyner, 20; Dana Marie Manglona, 20; Rianna Kristin McCale, 20; Daysia San Nicolas, 19; Joanna Marie Navarro, 19; and Irene Torres, 20, who was not present.

The 2015 Miss Marianas pageant will be themed “Vintage Hollywood” and will be held at the Sandcastle of Hyatt Regency Saipan.

When asked why they decided to join the pageant, majority of the contestants said they wanted to promote the islands’ beauty and give it greater renown in the international community.

They said they would also use this opportunity to boost their self-confidence, learn lifelong skills, and be a positive role model for the community.

Contestants may receive Stellar Marianas luxury prizes. Stellar Marianas created the Miss Marianas Pageant after successfully hosting the Miss Marianas Teen last year.
