Six gold medals for GCA students at NJFL regionals

Five Grace Christian Academy students won six gold medals in six events at the 2014 National Junior Forensic League regional competition held Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Hopwood Junior High School. GCA finalists dominated this year’s competition, bagging 13 awards for their 6th to 8th grade competitors.

The winners of gold medals are 6th grader Esther Kim for Story Telling and Poetry Reading, 8th grader Diane Arnold in Impromptu Speech and Duo Interpretation with another 8th grade student Peggy Pixley, 7th grader Melody Woo in Humorous Interpretation, and another 6th grade student, Harry Noh, in Extemporaneous Speech. All four of them will join the CNMI national team that will compete in the national competition in Overland Park, Kansas, on June 17-20, 2014.

The administration, faculty and staff, and parents of Grace Christian Academy would like to thank and extend their congratulations to their coach, Ami Joy Danganan, and to the following GCA winners and everyone who participated in this competition.
