SIS starts open enrollment for next school year
Saipan International School has opened general registration for its 2022-2023 school year. Class sizes are limited and spaces are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
SIS has a generous financial assistance program, helping many families afford its outstanding academic system. The Karen King Merit Scholarship is available to students with proven excellence in academics, athletics, or competitive activities. Applications are available in the office and are due by May 3, 2022 for the upcoming school year. Financial aid is also offered for students based on demonstrated need.
SIS offers an extensive university preparatory program in the high school with 15 Advanced Placement course offerings—the highest number in the CNMI. It is also the only school in the CNMI to offer the complete AP Capstone Diploma program. At the middle and elementary levels, SIS stresses mastery of fundamental skills within interactive experiences and its program has been validated through very strong results in the NWEA Measure of Academic Progress. In addition to core academics, SIS also offers a rich selection of elective courses that include extra support in a range of disciplines and enrichment opportunities such as our biannual trip to South America-Destino Peru, Speech and Debate, Fitness Classes, Music, Model United Nations, Escape Room Creation, Chess, Robotics, Art, SCUBA diving certification and much more.
“Many of our classes have very limited spots open,” said SIS headmaster Dr. Ron Snyder. “So it is important for interested families to contact the office as soon as possible. Thank you for considering SIS!”
