The Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport became fully operational on Oct. 8, 2019, as of 3pm.

All international flights to and from Saipan resumed on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 8, 2019. All domestic flights resumed yesterday, Oct. 9, 2019.

Additionally, all airport services have resumed, including the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Transportation Security Administration operations, the main terminal’s parking booth at the Saipan airport, and the airport car rentals.

Likewise, as of 3pm on Oct. 8, 2019, all Commonwealth Ports Authority seaports are now open and are also fully operational. CPA administrative offices are open and have resumed normal business hours.

As for the red helicopter seen in front of XO Market on Middle Road last Oct. 7, CPA said in a statement yesterday that it is aware of the red helicopter owned by Vertical Aviation Saipan. The statement said: “CPA management has spoken with the pilot, and CPA subsequently forwarded its concerns to an inspector employed by the Federal Aviation Administration. The Federal Aviation Administration inspector is currently in the process of reviewing and investigating this matter.”
