SHRM meeting today moved to Hyatt ballroom
Due to the increasing number of attendees for the Society for Human Resource Management-NMI Chapter meeting today, Feb. 21, 2019, the meeting venue has been changed to the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, the former SandCastle, beginning at 11:30am.
SHRM’s February general membership meeting, originally slated to be held at Giovanni’s, will address updates on federal immigration laws and regulations.
Nelson Xu, a lawyer, will discuss updates and changes to immigration laws and regulations that affect CNMI businesses and employers, and what businesses and employers might want to do in order to better prepare for these changes.
Xu will also discuss other employment-based visas and options that employers may consider besides the H2-B, CW, and EAD (humanitarian parole).
Xu is a partner in the law firm of Baumann, Kondas & Xu, LLC.
This meeting is open to the public.
The presentation will cost $20 for SHRM members and $30 for non-members. Seats are limited, so reserve your seat by contacting Penny Jones by email at penelope.jones@hyatt.com or Denise Montenegro at denise.montenegro@hyatt.com or by telephone at 323-5867/68.
