SHRM Guam VP to address Saipan meeting

An official of the Society for Human Resource Management Guam Chapter will be speaking at the CNMI SHRM membership meeting today, July 27, at the Pacific Islands Club Charley’s Cabaret.
Dana A. Gutierrez, the SHRM Guam Chapter’s vice president of Legislative Affairs, will talk about the 2017 SHRM Employment Law & Legislative Conference she recently attended in Washington, D.C.
Gutierrez is counsel at Calvo Fisher & Jacob LLP where she practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, business planning, corporate governance, and re-gulatory compliance. Her practice includes counseling and defending employers in all aspects of employment law. She is also a member-at-large of the Guam Bar Association board.
During our luncheon, she will discuss the highlights of recent U.S. Supreme Court cases and provide legislative, compliance and regulatory updates which impact the employer community.
Today’s SHRM lunch meeting will be from 11:30am to 1:30pm. It is open to the public. Gutierrez will provide an opportunity for questions.
