The Tan Siu Lin Foundation and TanHoldings presented its donation of T-shirts and polo shirts to Chacha Oceanview Middle School on March 6, 2017, and to Tinian Elementary School and Tinian Junior/Senior High School on Wednesday this week.
TSL Foundation and TanHoldings representatives personally delivered the shirts to the schools.
TanHoldings president Jerry Tan, who led the donation presentation at Chacha Oceanview Middle School said: “The students were excited and very appreciative of the donation. We are happy we are able to support schools in this way. The TSL Foundation and TanHoldings have a shared commitment to education and student success as both are important to our community and the future of the CNMI. This small gesture is intended to promote school pride, healthy eating, daily exercise and overall student success.”
The shirts were custom-printed with the school logo and colors in front and the message “Eat Healthy & Exercise Daily” on the back.
“The shirts are versatile and can be worn on spirit day, on field trips, to athletic competitions or as a uniform shirt worn throughout the school year,” added TanHoldings vice president for Corporate Affairs Catherine Attao.
This contribution is part of TSL Foundation’s and TanHoldings’ $50,000 donation to the CNMI Public School System.
According to TSL Foundation executive director Merlie Tolentino, “Approximately 4,760 students, school faculty and staff have received shirts thus far at eight CNMI public schools.”
TSL Foundation is the philanthropic arm of TanHoldings committed to improving the quality of life of the communities it serves. (PR)
