Sherwood opens at new location in Gualo Rai
For 26 years, Sherwood has been the trusted go-to place in the CNMI when it comes to video, audio appliances, computers, gadgets, peripherals, and more, with a broad inventory that even includes those many different wires behind every home appliance.
“Before coming here in 1994, I used to work for a big electronics store in Korea. I came here for a vacation and fell so in love with Saipan that I decided to relocate my family and start a business here and opening an electronics store is the one that I know inside out,” said owner Kim Young Jin.
“We used to be in Chalan Piao. …Just last month, we moved to our new location here in Spring Plaza Gualo Rai. It’s a good change as the location is better,” Jin added.
Jin can state all of the products he sells with eyes closed as he handles the store personally. “We have home and car electronics, television, laptops, tablets, kitchen items such as refrigerators, dishwasher, etc. You can find all our electronics needs here, whether it is for home or office,” he said.
JIn claims to have no secret when it comes to his store’s staying power and being in business for so long. “We just offer the best quality products like Kenwood and Sony, to name a few, direct from the [U.S.] mainland. …That’s why customers come back because they’re getting their money’s worth,” he said.
Jin said that he doesn’t compare his pricing system with other stores that sell similar products. “I always give the best price and my customers know that. Right now, we have an ongoing sale for various items [where] we give 10% to 15% discount on various items.”
“Over the years, whenever I see a customer come back to the store, that tells me that that person was satisfied with his or her earlier purchase. We don’t compromise on the quality of our products and the items comes with warranty,” he added.
