Shell lifts $50 purchase limit

IP&E announced yesterday that it is lifting its $50 fuel transaction limit at all Shell gas stations starting today, Aug. 13.

“The implementation of limiting fuel purchases is not a reflection of supply but a result of distribution constraints that have been resolved, the company said in a statement.

“We have more than enough fuel for the island of Saipan, in fact we received a shipment of fuel a week before the typhoon hit so all of our storage tanks were full right before the storm,” said Bill Ada, Retail Operations Director, IP&E Holdings.

Shell gas stations will continue to maintain hours of operation from 8am to 5pm “in order to ensure the safety of employees and customers.”

IP&E has been committed to opening Shell locations consistently to ensure the island has the fuel it needs to power recovery efforts to bring Saipan back to its former glory.

“We are proud of all our employees’ efforts to ensure we stay open and provide fuel to the community,” said Brian Bamba, Managing Director of IP&E Holdings.

Gasoline and diesel fuel are available at Shell Puerto Rico, Shell Gualo Rai, and Shell Highway Express.

Shell Airport and Shell Susupe only sell gasoline.
