Shark Attack dominates rival Pirata in Obyan

(Contributed Photo) Wild Bill’s Bar & Grill’s Shark Attack pulled out a 6-1 statement win over second-ranked Pirata on the road at D’Pirates Bar & Grill’s to remain the top dog in the Obyan Division following last Tuesday’s Saipan Billiards Association 2011 Budweiser Summer/Fall Open 8-Ball League matchups.

Meanwhile, Jonny’s IT&E Voyagers are still comfortably in front in the Agingan Division.

The season continues tonight with Agingan’s IT&E Voyagers set to battle the Docomo Hustlers in Utopia; Home Boyz Five plays host to the IT&E Incredibles; and Fotten Palau welcomes X-Tream.

Obyan pairings feature Shark Attack calling over the Titans; Crazy 8 hosting Pirata; and Poksu waving in Team SCS.

Shark Attack improved its win-loss slate to 36-20 last Tuesday and stretched its lead over the Obyan field to six games.

In other results, Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Crazy 8 (26-30) upset Poksu (28-28), 4-3, on the road at the 19th Hole Bar and Jonny’s Team SCS (28-28) defeated 19th Hole’s Titans (20-36), 6-1, at home.

IT&E Voyagers improved their win-loss record to 45-11 and extended their lead in the Agingan field to nine games after dropping VFW Post 3457’s X-tream (18-38), 6-1, at home.

In other results, the runner-up IT&E Incredibles gained a couple of games on its sister team after a 7-0 shutout win at home over Joe’s Steakhouse’s Fotten Palau (9-47) and Jonny’s Home Boyz Five (28-28) went into Utopia Sports Bar and upset Docomo Hustlers (32-24), 5-2.
