SGA Ace of Aces tourney this weekend

The Saipan Golfers Association will hold its two-day, season-ending golf tournament this weekend at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort and Kingfisher Golf Links.
Day 1 of the SGA 2019 Ace of Aces Tournament is set tomorrow, Feb. 1, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort with tee time at 9:30am, while Day 2 will be held at Kingfisher Golf Links with tee time also at 9:30am. The awards banquet will be held after the last day of the tournament at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Vying for the championship in the season-ending tournament for SGA are the 12 monthly winners—Larry Deleon Guerrero (January), Steve Balakrishna (February), Joe Sablan (March), John “Nanni” Cruz (April), Ed Manibusan (May), Rick Kautz (June), Juan Lizama (July), Alex Tudela (August), Juan L. Babauta (September), Manny Alvarez (October), Nick Sablan (November), and Das Krishnan (December).
Day 1 of SGA 2019 Ace of Aces Tournament will also serve as the January 2020 Ace of the Month and Day 2 will be the February 2020 Ace of the Month.
Krishnan won the SGA December Ace of the Month Tournament last Dec. 8 at the Kingfisher Golf Links Course. The Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan F&B director blazed the trail at the Talafofo golf course with a gross score of 83. Krishnan fired a 43 in the first nine holes before shooting a scorching 40 in the back nine. With his 12 handicap, he finished with a net score of 71.
