Sewer odor in Puerto Rico areas, south of Chalan Pale Arnold Road

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the public that there is currently a sewage odor in the Puerto Rico area and south of the Chalan Pale Arnold Road area.

The cause of the odor is due to a damaged equipment that presses down the sludge, causing an accumulation of solids. Wastewater operations personnel are currently making the necessary repairs and are anticipated to be completed by today, March 20, 2017, 5pm. Odor should dissipate by the morning of Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
