Senate confirms 2 Fitial appointees to CDA board

The Senate confirmed yesterday two of Gov. Benigno R. Fitial’s appointees to serve on the Commonwealth Development Authority’s board of directors, paving the way for CDA board to act on important projects.

During a session, senators confirmed Tom Glen Quitugua and Edwin P. Aldan to serve on the CDA board.

Quitugua represents Rota on the board, and his term will expire on April 21, 2015.

Aldan, representing Tinian, will serve Nathan Quichocho’s remaining term on the CDA board that will expire on July 8, 2014.

After senators confirmed the two, Senate President Paul Manglona (Ind-Rota) wrote a letter to he governor of the Senate’s decision.

“Upon review of the nominations, the Senate is confident that they will carry out their responsibilities with distinction and to the best of their abilities,” Manglona told the governor.
