Segundo, we love you
We need to listen to Mr. Segundo Castro. What he said in the Saipan Tribune on June 26 should be tattooed on the forehead of everyone involved in giving $100,000 to the Northern Marianas Descent Corp. so we know who these idiots are. It’s 2014 and this organization is not needed, as he so eloquently puts it. I’m not so eloquent. The 50 or so men that rule the CNMI have never experienced hardship of any kind and really don’t care about the average Juan, so don’t look to them for any sympathy or help. I’m sorry, Mr. Castro, but PSS doesn’t teach ethics or empathy anymore and the rich have no use for it. Thirty years ago some of the churches tried to stand up for morality but even they seem to have given up. There is more than enough money around but no one has the guts to tell the government to cancel the tax rebate, which only benefits the rich, or put a sales tax on all single item purchases over $50, which mostly the rich make, or tax all idle land over one hectare that no one lives on, which belongs mostly to the rich. The rich wrote every law we have and they were written to benefit themselves. Don’t expect any help from these people. We’re not alone, this is the norm the world over now.
