Search for missing swimmer off Agat

Missing-SwimmerSANTA RITA, Guam—Responders from multiple agencies are searching for a missing swimmer off the western coast of Guam.

During the afternoon of June 9, 2015, watch standers at U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam’s Rescue Sub-Center received a report from Guam Fire Department’s dispatch regarding a missing 51-year-old male spear fisherman off the coast of Agat Bay, Guam in the vicinity of Agat Cemetery.

Sector Guam is coordinating search efforts for multiple resources to include: a helicopter from U.S. Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25; a shoreline team from Guam Police Department; and a 45-foot rescue boat from Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor.
