The U.S. Supreme Court has some on its bench near death
the nine Court Justices try to hang on till their last breath
to the woman to the man one must also always expect
their decisions to be well written and legally direct
the judicial branch of government will persevere so say I
regardless of a conservative or liberal leaning anatomy
despite decisions, love for and ringing of liberty’s bell
despite their siding with or belief in heaven or hell
there during their busy calendar wise man and wise maid
will concur, dissent, and/or approve what others said
some will speak out while others will hold their tongue
in a rational chorus with judicial Constitutional song
some may holdback during their first years on the bench
few will pay any heed to a Trump based monkey wrench.
