Scott Min appointed to Air Force Academy

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Guam Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo has announced that Scott Min has been appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
Min is the son of Thomas and Won Sun Min of Dededo and will graduate from Father Duenas Memorial School in May 2014. He was nominated by Bordallo, and competed with nominees nationwide for admission into the Air Force Academy.
Min has maintained 4.0 grade point average and is ranked number one in his class of 120 students. Additionally, he is the cadet commander of the Phoenix Company Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and a member of several academic and extra-curricular organizations. Min is also the vice president of the National History Club, historian of the Spanish Club, secretary of the Academic Challenge Bowl Team, and a member of the Track and Field Team.
“Scott Min’s appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy is a testament to his hard work as a student and member of NJROTC at Father Duenas Memorial School,” said Bordallo. “I congratulate Scott on his appointment to the Air Force Academy and look forward to him being commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.” (PR)
