Scholarship to attend Mt. Carmel School up for grabs

Dubbed the “94 Scholarship” is open to any student that is enrolled as a junior for SY2015-2016 at any school in the CNMI, and shall be a senior for SY2016-2017, is eligible to apply by answering the question, “What makes you the one?”
The awardee will receive $1,994 toward his/her MCS school tuition. Applications are due by Friday, July 15, 2016, 11:59pm Chamorro Standard Time. Interviews will be held July 16-28 and the scholarship awardee shall be notified by July 29th.
Previous recipients and MCS outgoing seniors are Thomas Manglona II and Cathryn Javier. They led their school’s involvement in the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer. Manglona and Javier coordinated logistics, T-shirt sales, luminary sales, and overnight fundraising for their school.
They called the team Jedi Knights, continuing the Star Wars-themed Super Bowl commercial for MCS. Over 100 students and faculty took part in the even from 6pm on Friday to 6am the next day. Team MCS Jedi Knights was later awarded the “most money raised” under the MMAc Napu-School category.
