Application forms are now available for the Businesswoman of the Year Scholarship for the fall 2015 semester. The deadline to apply is Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.

The program, which is sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine, provides student scholarships at three higher education institutions in the Marianas: University of Guam, Guam Community College, and the Northern Marianas College. Recent graduates from Guam’s and the CNMI’s high schools who are enrolling in the islands’ tertiary institutions are invited to apply as well.

The scholarships are intended to promote higher education by providing financial assistance for college students in their pursuit of professional careers, and are open to both full-time and part-time students. The scholarships will be awarded based on merit, eligibility, a written essay, and financial need.

Application forms may be picked up at the financial aid offices of UOG, GCC, and NMC, at the First Hawaiian Bank branches, and the Glimpses of Guam office. Applications can also be downloaded from www.marianas.edu. Although the application form states that application forms are due on Aug. 31, 2015, the actual deadline has been extended and the new deadline for submission is Oct. 2, 2015.

For additional information, contact the NMC Financial Aid Office at 234-5484 or email Daisy Manglona-Propst at daisy.propst@marianas.edu. (NMC)
