Scheduled water service outage on Thursday

Share

There will be a scheduled water service interruption on Thursday, June 21, from 8am to 5pm for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in As Terlaje, Beach Road, Chalan Pale Arnold, Gualo Rai, Kannat Tabla, Chalan Kiya, Rasmu Lane (El Tom), Chalan Tun Antonio Apa, and west side areas of As Lito (Faha Place, Bayak Drive and Aplok Drive).

CUC’s 1-million-gallon water tank project contractor, AIC Marianas Inc., will be connecting a new bypass system to the existing transmission main at the Isley Booster I pump station along Continental Drive.

As a result of the new connection, the wells will be able to pump directly to the tank at the Northern Marianas College without the use of the existing booster pump station, resulting in a more reliable water system. Regular water service will resume soon after.

This is an ongoing project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
