Scheduled power outage today

There will be a scheduled power service interruption today, Nov. 17, 2020, from 9am to 1pm on Beach Road, from the Kristo Rai Church south to the Joeten Superstore in San Jose. This will allow linemen of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to safely relocate a primary power pole and to replace rusted power pole hardware on six primary power poles on Beach Road.

Because of the scale of work that will be done, CUC asks travelers to take alternative routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.

The power outage will affect the traffic light at the Atkins Kroll intersection in San Jose but no water well will be affected. Three wastewater lift stations—S-10, S-11, and S-12—will be affected. (PR)
