Scheduled power outage on Saturday
There will be a scheduled power interruption on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, from 5:30am to 10:30am to allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. line crew to safely replace deteriorated power pole hardware along Isa Drive on Capitol Hill.
This is part of an ongoing systems maintenance project to strengthen and harden the integrity of the power distribution system throughout Saipan.
Water services to Garapan, CHCC hospital, Lower Navy Hill, Sadog Tasi, and Lower Base areas will be interrupted during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
Areas to be affected include Isa Drive, Capital Hill (Sagua Dr., Hafno St., Mate Dr., and Haat P1.), Sadog Tasi (Coastal Dr., Laguna Dr., Trenchera Ln., Nonak Dr., Rubentasion Ln., Woosch Dr., Tide Lp., Leeset Ln., Acho Tasi Pl., Sadog Tasi Dr., and Pila Dr.), Lower Base Drive, and Lower Base (Orhopay P1., Pagu Av., Ufa St., Manglen Way, and Mangrove P1.)
Water wells to be affected include SQ-4, SQ-7, SQ-148, SQ-149, and SQ-150
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. CUC appreciates the understanding of the community during this period.
