Scheduled power interruption on Thursday
There will be a scheduled power interruption on Thursday, June 7, from 9am to 1pm.
The purpose of the power interruption is to allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. linemen to safely relocate three spans of primary lines and pole hardware to an adjacent location such that existing underground wastewater lines beneath these distribution lines can be accessible for repair.
The repair of the underground wastewater lines is part of an ongoing effort to improve wastewater service for customers through the mitigation of aging wastewater infrastructure.
Power service to Chalan Kiya will be affected but not water wells. The W-5 wastewater lift station affecting the Chalan Laulau Middle Road, As Terlaje, San Jose, and Oleai areas will be affected.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks motorists to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the work areas.
