Scheduled power interruption on Saturday
There will be a scheduled power interruption on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. line crew to safely replace three wooden primary power poles with concrete poles along Beach Road near Star Water. The scheduled power interruption is a continuation of CUC’s ongoing Super Typhoon Yutu restoration efforts.
Areas to be affected: Beach Road from the Horiguchi building to Angaha St., Seyur St., Taibwo St., Alus St., Llat St., Mootyt St, Gualo Rai Road, Pupulo Dr., Aar Loop, Dotse PI., Chaoti Pl., Alalak Dr., Pumpkin St. (between former Mayor’s Office building to Hakubutan) and the Microl intersection. All services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
No water wells will be affected, except for the S-10, S-11, S-12 wastewater lift stations. That covers customers from Puerto Rico village to the Microl intersection.
The Microl traffic lights will be affected.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, travelers are urged to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.
