Scheduled power interruption on April 18

There will be a scheduled power interruption on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 9am to 2pm.

The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize primary lines and allow Commonwealth Utilities Corp. line crews to safely replace three wooden poles with concrete poles along Tanto Drive in As Matuis village. The subproject is part of CUC’s ongoing 406 Hazard Mitigation Project that involves the replacement of 787 wooden poles with concrete poles.

Of the 787 wooden poles to be replaced, 358 have been replaced. The remaining 429 wooden poles have an impending schedule for replacement.

CUC asks travelers commuting along or near Tanto Drive to exercise caution when traveling as heavy equipment will be used during the project performance.
