SCC workshop for graduating seniors

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 2012 High School Senior “I’m Graduating Now-Now What ?” workshop this Saturday, April 28, from 10am to 2pm, at the Saipan Grand Hotel.

Corporate executives Jim Arenovski, Delta Management; Kanae Quinn, Pacific Islands Club, Vince Seman, Tan Holdings; and Kyle Calabrese, staff for U.S. Delegate Kilili Sablan, will be presenting information to all high school students attending on how to address work place realities after graduation.

Registration begins at 9:30am, with presentations beginning at 100am, for the following:

* What’s Next After High School-A look at careers.

* I Have to Live on That ?-Personal budgeting.

* Oh No, I Have an Interview, Now What ?-Resume writing and interviewing with confidence.

* I Can’t Come to Work Today-Balancing work and family expectations.

* I’m Not Sure What to Say-Communication skills for success.

There will be a program assessment following the presentations, and certificates of completion will be awarded. Refreshments will be served for the high school seniors.

SCC reminded the high school seniors, as well, that the deadline for submission of applications for the annual SCC $2,000 scholarship awards is this Friday, April 27, 2012 at 5:00pm at the SCC offices in Garapan.
