SCC meeting today
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s general membership meeting will be held today, Aug. 7, at the Seaside Hall of Kanoa Resort, featuring Kodep Ogumoro-Uludong, director of the Office of Planning & Development.
Uludong will be speaking about his office’s efforts for the community’s long-term Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, his continuing work with the International Economic Development Council in the business community’s recovery from Super Typhoon Yutu, and his office’s Garapan Revitalization initiative.
The Chamber will also provide updates on recent conversations with Delegate Gregorio C. Sablan’s office on businesses’ concerns with the U.S. Department of Labor/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ CW renewal timelines. There will be consent case management forms where businesses can use Sablan’s office to advocate on behalf of their CW application process. The Chamber is also gathering questions to send to USDOL/USCIS for clarification on the renewal process.
Lunch will be served at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at noon. The fee is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. The Chamber is accepting reservations of six or more.
