The Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s final general membership meeting for 2020 will be held today, Dec. 2, 2020, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom.

At the same meeting, 12 students from the Northern Marianas College will be awarded $1,000 each in scholarships. These students aspire to give back to the CNMI community and help alleviate the CNMI’s workforce needs.

The SCC fundraises every year to give $12,000 in scholarships to students from the CNMI to fund their higher education. This year was no different. Despite the hardships of COVID-19, the SCC membership pushed forward to raise these funds.

Also today, the SCC will be announcing the winner of the social media “Buy in the CNMI” campaign, where one lucky winner will receive $500 in gift cards to Chamber member establishments of their choice. SCC will also hear from President’s Circle Member IT&E as well as announce the 2020 Nominees for Business Person of the Year.

A plate lunch will be served at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at noon. The luncheon fee is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, RSVP is required to attend the GMM. To RSVP, visit https://tinyurl.com/decgmm2020 before 9am today, Dec. 2, or by calling the Chamber office at (670) 234-7150. (SCC)
