Savory Bistro Cafe has risen from the ashes of the old Savory Café and Bistro with the new Middle Road location bigger and better than the previous one along Beach Road.
Owner Jennifer Elayda said the rechristened Savory Bistro Cafe opened just this month, adding that they’re happy to have a new place to call home.
“We moved because the space before was already small for us. We’re lucky because we found this building,” she said during the new location’s ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony last Thursday.

And when Elayda said the new and improved Savory Bistro Cafe has more space, she’s not kidding as it has seating for over 100 customers and three VIP rooms where people who want more privacy can use the Karaoke machine and order food from their kitchen to their hearts’ content.
Savory Bistro Cafe also comes with a bigger stage, which means more room for entertainment numbers like the various singing competitions the restaurant has pioneered this past few years.
Elayda added that aside from more than doubling the space of the old location, the new Savory Bistro Cafe also has more parking and is centrally located along Middle Road in Garapan.
She’s also proud to say that despite moving to a new location, Savory Bistro Cafe’s prices for its bestselling American, Japanese, Filipino, and Korean menu have not increased and that comes even as the price of ingredients and generally the cost of doing business have gone up.

For future plans, Savory Bistro Cafe will be holding the Savory Singing Mom Contest in time for next month’s Mother’s Day celebration.
The competition is open to all mothers and will be every Saturday starting at 8pm. The winner will take home $300, while first and second runners-up pocket $150 and $100, respectively.
Elayda also said Savory Bistro Cafe will also be offering a Sunday buffet soon.
Aside from Savory Bistro Cafe, the building will also house Elayda and her husband Miguel’s construction company, manpower agency, and cleaning services.

As for last week’s ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony, the restaurant and cafe was jam-packed with guests led by Father Ray Rosal, who sprinkled holy water around the premises; and former representative Angel Demapan, who was a judge of the last Savory’s Search For Karaoke Star Season 2.
And speaking of that competition, guests of the grand opening were serenaded by the Top 3 winners—champion Alfred Tabora, Raniel Santos, and Brent Michael—who performed a medley of songs with the most touching being their version of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World.”
Even staff of Savory Bistro Cafe took the stage with an exciting dance number, complete with their serving trays.
Savory Cafe & Bistro is located beside Pacific Quick Print along Middle Road in Garapan. They are open from 10am to 2pm and 5pm and 10pm everyday. For more information or for reservations, call (670-233-6143). You can also message them through Facebook.
