Salalila, Maratita have most HRs in BASA league

The Lady Blue Jays’ Rachel Salalila and Sufa’s Audie Maratita have the most home runs so far in the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League as of May 21.
Salalila has four big ones of her own, while Maratita has seven.
Behind Salalila in the women’s division is Nish Mario with three; Kiana “Baby K” Camacho, Bong Babauta, and Edilyn Benjamin are tied with two, while nine players are tied with one each.
Second to Maratita is Joey Dela Cruz with six; and Manny Sablan, Jeff Cruz, Mike Techur, and Pat Guerrero are tied with five each.
The batting leader in the women’s division is the Lady Blue Jays’ Kiana Camacho with 17 hits out of 28 at-bats for a .607 batting average. Tied in second is the Lady Legals’ Almina Deleon Guerrero and Lady Sufa’s Ashley Angui with a .579 average and 19 for 11 at-bats; third is Rosie Saralu from the Hot Shots with a .577 average from 15 out of 26 at-bats.
Kiana Camacho is tied with Tiah Camacho with the most runs scored with 12 each; Janica Lizama, Pauline Camacho, and Salalila have 11 each; and Almina DLGuerrero, Edilyn Benjamin, Nish Mario, and Rayna Deleon Guerrero have 10 each.
Kiana Camacho also has the most doubles with five; and Janica Lizama and Sheena Maratita have three each; while nine players are tied with two each.
The most RBIs also belong to Kiana Camacho with 14; Janica Lizama, Nish Mario, and Rachel Salalila have 11; and Almina DIGuerrero, Edilyn Benjamin, and Lem Ogumoro have eight each.
The most triples went to Mardina Kaipat with three; and Janica Lizama, Lem Ogumoro, Rosie Saralu, and Stacey Eno have two each.
The pitching leader is the Lady Blue Jays’ Angel Deleon Guerrero who has four wins and no losses, a 2.74 ERA, 26 hits and nine earned runs against her in her 23 innings pitched. Second is the Lady Legals’ Jovie Omar with a 3.03 ERA, 4-3 record, 66 hits against her and 16 ER in 37 innings pitched; third is the Hot Shots’ Janice Celis with a 3.04 ERA, a 4-4 record, 46 innings pitched, 20 ERs, and 87 hits against her.
The most strikeouts so far goes to Janice Celis with 36; right behind her is 35 by Jovie Omar; 34 by Sonia Isaac; 24 by Evita Marafita; 17 by Bert Camacho; and 12 by Semerina Simram.
In the men’s division, Maratita also leads the most RBIs with 23; Joey Dela Cruz has 22; Glen Camacho and Pat Guerrero have 19 each; Mike Techur has 18; and Robert Bansil and Eric Palacios have 17 each.
The most runs scored is Joe Lizama with 19; Dennis Cruz and Lefty Shiro have 18; Ben Mesa, Eric Palacios, James “Dog” Fleming, and Roy Tudela have 16 each; and 15 for Paul Salalila and Robert Bansil.
Tim Wesley and Dennis Cruz are tied at eight for the most doubles; (7) James Fleming has seven; Glen Camacho has six; and Joe Lizama and John Taitano have five each.
The triples king is Ben Higgins with four; Jaimi Reyes and Tim Wesley have three; and Dominic Hideo, Joe Lizama, and Ben Mesa have two each.
Eric Palacios is the batting leader with a .752 batting average from 19 hits out of 24 at-bats; second is Darwin Masaharu with a .700 average from 21 out of 30 at-bats; and third is Maratita with a .692 average with 18 hits out of 26 chances.
The pitching leader is Eric David with a 2.63 ERA, two wins, 37 hits, 6 ER, and 36 innings pitched; second is Paul Salalila with three wins, a 2.67 ERA, 35 hits, eight ER, and 21 innings pitched; third is Mario Aguon with a 2-0 record, a 4.08 ERA, 23 hits, seven ER, and 12 innings pitched.
The most strikeouts goes to Ken Kaipat with 32; Henry Reyes is a close second with 31; Leo Iskawa and Ray Villagomez have 20 each; Dominic Hideo has 19; and Derron Flores and Bruce Laniyo have 15 each.
