Saipan Vegas Resort located in Chalan Lau Lau on Middle Road keeps growing since it opened in March 2017. Starting as a budget resort with affordable accommodations, a lively mix of gaming experience, and a 9-hole golf course, it has extended its offerings to include 48 new rooms and an entertainment area which is a whole new world on its own.
Saipan Vegas Resort consultant Gus Noble said that this growth in a span of three years is an indication of the resort’s investment in the community.
“With all the new additions, we are like an entertainment precinct… I think we are a great success story what you can do on the islands. We support local sports teams, we employ locals, we contribute to the community, and invest on the island.”
“Last month, we opened an additional 48 units in the resort giving us 100 rooms total to accommodate guests. These rooms are bigger with 10-foot wide floor area compared to the first units that are only 8-foot wide…and now all 100 rooms in the resort have basic amenities like cable television, air-conditioning, bath with toiletries, and fiber optic WiFi,” Noble added.
Bamboo Bar which opened last week invites guests and walk-ins to relax and enjoy their affordable food and drinks.
All 8-foot rooms are only $35 a night and 10-foot rooms go for $45 a night. “The rate is the same whether guests get a single or double rooms and that is how affordable our rooms are, everything is [Americans with Disabilities Act]-compliant so everyone is welcome and guests have a view of our relaxing courtyard,” Noble said.
“We also offer ‘extended stay hotel rates’ for people who want to stay long. The 8-foot rooms go for $390 a month and the 10-foot rooms are $450 a month inclusive of amenities and room cleaning once a week. We have a coin laundry available for guests and cooking and barbeque area is underway,” Noble added.
Another added feature in the resort is the Bamboo Bar which opened last week. “The Bamboo Bar is a place where guests and walk-ins can come and enjoy. We have island favorites such as pokes, chicken wings, and happy hour from 5pm to 7pm where we offer half off on drinks that includes cocktails, beer, and wine,” Noble said.
“Beside the bar is a gazebo with a pool table with seats around it… we have already done a few functions and we are happy to have more work or family celebrations. As part of the opening promo, we are not charging for the use of the area, we give discounted drinks, free pool table, discounted food from Food Express, free paid vouchers for the adults, discounted hotel rooms, and free golf—all part of the package for functions,” Noble added.
New rooms are spacious, comfortable, and includes cable TV, air-conditioning, bath with toiletries, and a view of the garden courtyard that adds a relaxed mood during stay.
Noble sees further growth for the resort as a buffet restaurant is currently being constructed with plans of opening early next year. “We will keep the buffet food affordable that will carry standard buffet food but with signature dishes that differentiate us from others like lobster tail, steak, and many others,” he said.
“With the many changes in a short span of time, we continue to grow, improve and increase our offerings. We also continue to have the same policy to employ locals, contribute to the community by paying all our taxes and is all about doing well and giving back to the community because that’s part of what we do.” Noble added.
