Saipan Vegas looking for local talent

Saipan Vegas Golf Resort & Slot Club is expanding its lineup of entertainment adding Dinner & Show specials to be held at Rendezvous International Cuisine starting next month. (BEA CABRERA)

Saipan Vegas Golf Resort & Slot Club located along Middle Road is looking for a variety of entertainers that have the confidence, charisma, a knack for captivating the audience, and exceptional skills and talent to be a part of special dinner shows that will be held at their restaurant—Rendezvous International Cuisine.

According to SV Players Club and marketing manager Patrick Tudela, they do not have an expected number of people who will come to the auditions. “We would like the community to audition… We are looking for something exciting, somewhat unique, and entertaining …We would like to encourage our local community to participate in this event for financial opportunities,” he said.

“Once the auditions are complete by the end of October, we will announce our winner(s) and make a contract deal to perform at least once a week for our Dinner & Show at the Rendezvous International Cuisine starting in November… We have nothing specific that we want but we would like to see something like Las Vegas shows have for example, dancers like the Jabbawokeez, singing impersonators like Frank Sinatra, magic like Chris Angel, or a variety show like the one at Planet Hollywood,” he added.

Since the announcement came out last week, Tudela said that they have a Carolinian Mass Dance for audition on Friday, Oct. 9. and a magician on Saturday, Oct. 10.

One of the talents that is scheduled for audition this weekend said that it is another great opportunity to showcase the abundance of talent we have in Saipan. “Many extremely talented people are here on island and it is also a way of inspiring others to show their talents as well. I hope other businesses can see and take this initiative and example by Saipan Vegas and try it out for their businesses,” he said.

Tudela said that the Dinner & Show at the Rendezvous International Cuisine is a welcome expansion. “We want to offer our local community to experience watching a live show while having dinner for a reasonable price. People have more reasons to come to Saipan Vegas aside from gaming, golf, bingo games, karaoke night that happens in their other outlet—Bamboo Bar every Thursday and live band entertainment every Friday and Saturday.”

We would like to have at least one Dinner & Show every Friday, Saturday,and Sunday and one performer for each day… whether they are experienced or inexperienced entertainers, we encourage everyone to audition to give us a feel of what they can bring to the stage…we encourage all ages to audition,” he added.
