Saipan SDA School gets 3-year accreditation

An accrediting team from the AAA Committee recently visited the Saipan SDA School and recommended granting the school a full three-year accreditation.

The team from the U.S. mainland arrived on island Friday to review documentation, observe teachers, and talk with school administrators and board members during this re-evaluation of accreditation.

The committee assessed several different areas such as the school facilities as well as student activities. There were 10 different areas the committee observed or read in the school self-study. The areas evaluated were philosophical foundation, community and constituency, administration, staff development, curriculum and instruction, media center, student activities, student services, school facilities, and information technology.

After reviewing documents and observing classes, the accrediting committee commended the school’s administration and school board for the operation of the Saipan SDA School. The committee recognized the quality curriculum and instruction by degreed and certified teachers.

Congratulations to the Saipan SDA School administration, teachers, staff, and school board for the commendations from the AAA Committee in all areas and the accomplishment of the full three-year accreditation. (SDA)
