Saipan offers lineup of Halloween events to choose from
Time to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve with sweet treats, tricks, a little scare and costumes of different shapes and sizes. But where to go trick-or-treating on Saipan? No worries, as several places are hosting events to celebrate Oct. 31.
The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is hosting a Halloween outreach today at the Kagman Community Center from 6pm to 9pm. Children and family members can enjoy a haunted house, fun and games, as well as free candy. Admission is free.
The Marianas Variety’s annual “Trunk or Treat” event will kick off at the American Memorial Park from 6pm to 9pm. It will feature a “Little Pumpkins Parade,” which is a costume contest with categories for cute, funny, or scary. Winners will get prizes. Treats for kids will also be available.
Joeten Kiyu Public Library will have its “Trunk or Treat” as well, from 4pm to 7:30pm. They will have 11 vehicles full of candy in their car trunks and will host an outdoor movie if the weather is fair.
But Halloween is not just about the kids; adults can join in on the fun as well. Club C at the Kanoa Resort is hosting a Halloween Party starting at 5pm. All guests that show up in a costume will receive a free drink and a contest will be held featuring $100 in prizes for best male and female costumes.
The Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan is hosting a Fright Night from 5pm to 9pm at the Chambre Bar. Every purchase of any kind of drink will entitle one to a raffle ticket for amazing gifts and giveaways. Those wearing costumes will get one free Miller Lite or a coupon.
GIG Club is also hosting a costume party along with a costume contest for young adults above 21 years of age.
If drinking, partying, and wearing costumes are not your thing, the Victory Chapel will be hosting a play for Halloween across Hopwood Junior High School at 7pm.
