Saipan municipal council sets 1st session today

Share

The Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council will be holding its first regular session today at the Hon. Pedro T. Nakatsuakas Memorial Building in Chalan Kanoa at 1:30pm.

Items up for discussion include the adopt-a-place program, village revitalization, and the Neighborhood Watch program. This will be the council’s first meeting since they were sworn-in in January.

The initiative for a safer neighborhood was already being implemented during the time of former council chair Ramon Camacho, who visited schools during PTA meetings to discuss the Neighborhood Watch program.

The Adopt-a-Place program encourages residents to adopt areas of villages to clean up as a way to revitalize and beautify these areas for both residents and visitors.

For more information, visit them at the Hon. Pedro T. Nakatsukasa Memorial Building in Chalan Kanoa or contact 664-2700/2701.
