The Saipan Mayor’s Office will be closed to the public today and Monday as it moves to its new location along Beach Road.

Mayor Donald G. Flores yesterday noted, however, that his office will still be taking in phone calls and work on field requests from the community since their “operations” staff will be working on said dates.

Flores said that by Tuesday, May, their office can be found at the second floor of Ladera Center “right outside the elevator.”

He explained that their lease contract for their office at Afetnas Square Complex in San Antonio will expire on Monday, April 30.

“That’s why we have to be in the new building by Tuesday,” added Flores.

The mayor described their new office as brand new, spacious, and located in a central location for accessibility to residents from different parts of the island.

“It will conveniently serve clients young and old because the building has a working elevator and it’s ADA compliant,” he said.

Flores also noted that the rent they will pay on the new office is “significantly lower,” allowing them to use savings from rental expense “to other necessities needed within the office.”

He pointed out that only the office location will change. Their office numbers will remain the same.

“We look forward to continue serving the people of Saipan in our new location,” Flores added.
