Saipan Mango Six Café located in Dan Dan is a crowd favorite for both local residents and tourists alike since it opened on Saipan in 2015. Last month, it was one of the businesses that closed temporarily to help the community mitigate the spread of the COVID-19. Last week, Saipan Mango Six Café opened once again for take-out services only.
“We temporarily closed in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and we used those times researching how to solve the safety problems of customers and employees,” owner Sun Moon Ahn said.
“Noticing that the pandemic situation here on Saipan has been a little safer and well controlled by the government, we considered the requests of many of our regular customers to open and that is why we are ready to serve once again,” Ahn added.
Saipan Mango Six Café serves a variety of food such as burgers, French fries, pretzels, pancakes, cakes, and a few bread.
“The most popular food that we have are the pretzels which are freshly baked in front of customers. We do not scrimp on ingredients and put a good amount of cheese which is perfect for cheese-lovers. Most of our sauces are home-made containing less chemical seasoning to store for a good amount of time,” Ahn said.
“As for our beverages, we have a few specialties, that includes coffees and smoothies….we use real fruits in all of our smoothies that gives it a natural fruit flavor, and also very healthy. Each drink has their own unique recipe that provides a new and unique taste…our coffee is made using an Italian espresso machine using coffee extract which makes the quality great. Our menu is made-to-order and that is what’s special about Saipan Mango Six—we serve them hot and fresh,” Ahn added.
According to Ahn, while maintaining operations during the pandemic, Saipan Mango Six Café gets its energy to keep going from its loyal customers. “We would like to thank the community for always remembering and visiting us. We continuously think of how we can help repay such loyalty during this difficult time.”
“Future plans include offering food delivery and we are working on it. We hope everyone is healthy and does not lose hope so we can overcome this crisis,” he added.
Saipan Mango Six Café is open from 9am to 6pm for take-out. To place an order, call (670) 670-234-0707 or visit them on Facebook: Mango Six Saipan.
