(Contributed Photo)  The month of May in Hawaii was filled with commencement exercises throughout the state. Thousands of students received their high school diploma. In particular, Roosevelt High School, which constitutes one attendance area in Oahu, graduated 345 seniors on May 19. Among the graduates was a Saipanese and former student of Garapan Elementary School in 2005-2006 academic year, Kaelah M. Pangelinan Santos.

Being the lone Saipanese in all of her classes at Roosevelt High School did not impede, inhibit, nor discourage Santos from pursuing her academic goals and all the hard work and sacrifices paid off during the commencement exercises when it was announced that she graduated with honors. Her academic accomplishment at Roosevelt High School means she was part of the academic elite for the Class of 2012.

Her proud parents, Antonio A. Santos and Zerlina A. Pangelinan, and other family members witnessed the graduation that evening and shared in her successes. (PR)
