Saipan Lady Eagles Club swears in new officers, members

The Saipan Maga’Haga Lady Eagles Club, a non-profit all-women socio-civic organization led by their president, Angelica Vina V. Lastimado, held their charter night and induction of new members and installation of chartered officers for 2022 last Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at Saipan World Resort.

The event was attended by CNMI Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, first lady Dianne Torres, governor’s chief of staff Wil Castro, Saipan-Guam district governor eagle Arvin Ian Sales and second vice district governor Eagle Marcelo “Mar” Masilungan.

During the event, Torres and Castro were inducted as honorary members of the Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club.

Traditionally, the event is held in person with the presence of its national president and officers in the Philippines. But because of the pandemic, the event was held virtually.

In her message that night, Lastimado said, “…I am truly grateful for this opportunity, to represent our incredible organization…as your charter president. …[I] accept the appointment with pride and I will give my very best efforts to make you proud to have selected me. …I will devote my time and myself to the obligations and the duties of this post.”

Aside from Lastimado, the new officers of the Saipan Maga’Haga Lady Eagles Club are Marilyn Quebral (vice president), Mildred Pabilando (secretary), Raquel Floyd (assistant secretary), Maria Aileen Contreras (treasurer), Gemma Eugenio (assistant treasurer), Norlyn Cabrera (auditor), Melca Austria (press relation officer), Edilwisa Viana (press relation officer), Mary Jane Diestro (care chairperson), Rosalia Pitpit (tribunal/grievance officer), Maribel Casilla (protocol officer), Yolanda De Ramos (board of directors), Birhen Martinez (board of directors), Marilou Masilungan (board of directors), Luzviminda Relucio (club COMELEC), and Lorisa Mendoza (club COMELEC).

The other club members are Ethel Baskinas, Leilani Catungal, Maureen Mae Claveria, Rowena Coloma, Mary Grace Cruz, Mildred Ebuen, Mellany Regaton, Adela Ella Sanchez, Bernadeth Satur, and Ritchell Sublemente. (Saipan Tribune)
